About the role

  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP
  • Lead the annual financial audit process with external auditors, preparing/reviewing audit documentation and schedules and managing audit deadlines
  • Directly supervise a team to oversee day-to-day activities and ensure alignment with company goals and standards
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls and processes to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and accruals
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including balance sheet reconciliations, review of financials, and flux analysis
  • Collaborate with Finance leadership and FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Partner cross-functionally to manage expenses, provide financial guidance, resolve issues and support business operations
  • Evaluate and implement AI-driven tools to automate routine accounting processes (invoice processing, reconciliations, expense reporting)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or people management role
  • CPA license (active or in progress) strongly preferred
  • Experience in a SaaS or technology company preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
  • Proficiency in accounting/ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills
  • Ability to leverage AI analytics to identify anomalies, trends, or potential risks in financial data and validate outputs for accuracy
  • Strong accounting background and people leadership skills
