About the role
- Oversee the daily operations of the sub-acute care facility
- Ensure efficient and effective service delivery to patients
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures
- Maintain liaison with families and residents
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff members
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and standards
- Develop and monitor quality improvement initiatives
- Prepare and manage the facility budget
- Ensure confidentiality of all resident information
- Maintain residents’ rights and handle resident complaints
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field
- 3-5 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in an acute care hospital, long-term care facility or skilled nursing facility
- Proven experience in healthcare administration, particularly in sub-acute or long-term care settings
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Proficient in healthcare management software and electronic health records (EHR)
- Experience in managing sub-acute units or ventilator-dependent patient care
- Familiarity with California Department of Public Health (CDPH) regulations
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage crisis situations effectively
- Must be able to work in a union environment.
