• Negotiate a variety of technology and commercial agreements (partnership agreements, research and development agreements, agreements related to intellectual property and data, commercial leases, various service contracts, tenders/requests for proposals, and others);
• Support the organization on data governance and privacy matters, and assist the Legal Counsel in drafting privacy impact assessments;
• Act as a legal advisor to Mila’s internal teams on various legal issues related to the organization’s activities and projects, notably technology-related legal matters;
• In collaboration with the Coordinator, Legal and Corporate Affairs, create and update working tools, standard contract templates, guides, and checklists;
• Conduct legal research and draft opinions on ad hoc legal questions, and perform legislative and case law monitoring.
