Engineering Manager

• Assume end-to-end ownership of AI engineering projects across the portfolio — from requirements definition through architecture, development oversight, and production deployment
• Design GCP infrastructure across all environments, in partnership with engineering: Cloud Run, IAM, VPC network isolation, CI/CD pipelines, secrets management, observability, and security controls
• Translate business requirements into technically precise specifications — and proactively challenge scope or approach when a stronger path exists
• Lead company-wide AI infrastructure rollout and upskilling initiatives, including training programs, office hours, super-user community development, and AI governance scaffolding
• Develop PRDs, architecture documents, and project scopes that enable contractors and engineering partners to execute independently
• Forecast build timelines and resource requirements across a portfolio of concurrent initiatives
• Direct and quality-review the output of external engineering contractors
• Identify and advance system-level improvements proactively — with a recommendation and a plan, not merely an observation
• Build documentation and operational foundations designed to scale beyond any individual project

Senior Manager, Applied AI Engineering

Controller

• Serve as the accounting team’s operational champion; drive continuous efficiency through automated workflows, internal tool integrations, and NetSuite ERP enhancements to dramatically compress the month-end close cycle.
• Oversee day-to-day public company operations across the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Tax functions, ensuring absolute accuracy, timeliness, and strong internal controls.
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes—including journal entry preparation/review, account reconciliations, and robust flux analysis—to deliver audit-ready results supporting timely SEC and investor reporting.
• Maintain and optimize the design, implementation, and operating effectiveness of SOX internal controls across all operational accounting cycles; preserve compliance with US GAAP, SEC regulations, and PCAOB standards.
• Prepare comprehensive, audit-ready schedules and serve as a primary partner to external and internal auditors to ensure seamless annual audits and quarterly reviews.
• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, structured professional growth, and continuous process improvement.
• Maintain the corporate chart of accounts, govern core accounting system information, and support executive management on special strategic projects, business model scale-ups, and ad-hoc financial analysis.

Assistant Controller

Systems Engineer

• Implement internal tools and applications based on architectural direction from the Director of Data Architecture & Engineering, including taking stakeholder prototypes and re-engineering them into production-grade systems.
• Manage and maintain the infrastructure supporting internal AI tools and data systems, including deployment, configuration, monitoring, and incident response.
• Write clean, well-documented code across whatever languages and frameworks the work requires; apply sound engineering practices around testing, version control, and code review.
• Evaluate and integrate AI tools and third-party services into internal workflows where they provide clear value, with attention to security, cost, and long-term maintainability.
• Contribute to data quality practices: implementing automated checks, investigating pipeline failures, and helping establish clear data ownership and lineage.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to understand requirements, surface technical tradeoffs, and deliver solutions that meet actual needs rather than assumed ones.
• Support access control and permissions management across systems and tooling, contributing to the team’s broader security and governance practices.
• Maintain thorough documentation of systems, data flows, and processes so that institutional knowledge is preserved and accessible.
