About the role

  • The HR Coordinator reports to the Director of Administration and serves as the main point of contact for recruiting, hiring and onboarding all new staff.
  • Leads the recruiting and hiring process with hiring managers.
  • Boosts critical job postings on various paid sites.
  • Ensures that proper Candidate Sources links are used for posting.
  • Proactive in searching for potential candidates on job boards.
  • Conducts all initial phone screen interviews and schedules all interviews.
  • Conducts all professional reference checks.
  • Welcomes and orients new staff on their first day.
  • Completes HR pre- and post-hire onboarding tasks in BambooHR.
  • Tracks Ceres property on employees’ Assets tab in BambooHR.
  • Runs the quarterly new hire orientation meeting.

Requirements

  • Background in HR or HR certificate, preferred.
  • Experience in recruiting, a plus.
  • Excellent typing speed, essential.
  • Knowledge of FLSA, EEOC, DOL and EDD regulations.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities while managing incoming requests and responding in a timely manner.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail while holding the big picture.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to communicate warmly and clearly.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Experience with HRIS payroll systems, BambooHR preferred.
