About the role

  • Own key components of the month-end close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting.
  • Manage the full accounts payable lifecycle: vendor setup, invoice processing, payments, and reconciliations.
  • Oversee accounts receivable processes, including subscription-based invoicing, cash application, and collections.
  • Support revenue recognition under ASC 606, including contract review and revenue schedules.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of the general ledger in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Assist with tax filings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Partner with external auditors by preparing audit schedules and responding to requests.
  • Analyze financial results to identify trends, variances, and process improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and HR to support business initiatives.
  • Support ad-hoc projects and process improvements as the company scales.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s a plus).
  • 2–4+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a startup, fintech, or SaaS environment.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and hands-on experience with ASC 606.
  • Experience with subscription billing and revenue tools; SaaSOptics (Maxio) preferred.
  • Experience with accounting systems such as Xero, Intacct, or NetSuite.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment.
