About the role
- Design and supervise the provision of evidence-based mental health services and programs for children with autism spectrum disorders and/or similar developmental disabilities in home, school and/or other natural settings
- Independently conduct regular home visits for the assigned caseload to provide individualized parent education, supervise implementation of programs, monitor documentation, and provide in-field training to direct reports
- Educate families on maintaining clinically appropriate schedules and communicate CSD policies to families
- Complete necessary documentation including treatment plans, data sheets, behavioral support plans, progress reports, discharge reports, and other site-related documents
- Monitor daily direct service appointments for completion and cancellations and maintain appropriate progress notes for supervision hours
- Input supervision hours on CSD’s billing program and maintain up-to-date records of templates, forms, and other documents
- Write, sign and submit progress reports to funding sources and maintain a database of report deadlines for assigned caseload
- Meet daily and monthly billable hours goals as set by CSD
- Provide clinical support and training to assigned team via monthly 1:1 and team meetings, individualized clinical trainings, and trainings assigned by the Regional Director
- Evaluate clinical performance of supervisees, maintain documentation of supervision hours, and communicate concerns to the Regional Director
- Supervise and guide staff with clinical processes including assessments, behavioral support plans, monthly session plans, lesson plans, clinical reports, and data collection
- Maintain communication with Human Resources and the Regional Director regarding administrative concerns
- Stay current on research, trends, and developments related to autism and special education; attend staff meetings and trainings
- Perform additional job duties as assigned
Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, childhood development, childhood education, special education, pediatric therapy, or related field
- BCBA Credential Required
- Two years of related professional experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders and/or other related developmental disabilities in a multi-disciplinary team setting
- Proven successful experiences with a full ABA caseload
- Knowledgeable of methodologies including ABA, ESDM, TEACCH, PECS, and PRT
- Knowledgeable of School Continuum of Services and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Knowledgeable of other community resources and agencies that serve children
- Sensitive to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse population
- Able to travel to and work in multiple program service areas; reliable transportation needed (proof of valid driver license, current auto insurance identification card, and acceptable driving record per NIAC standards is required)
- Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; bilingual ability preferred
- Able to consistently demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills
- Able to exercise confidentiality and discretion pertaining to the work environment
- Able to appropriately interpret and implement policies, procedures, and regulations
- Knowledgeable and skilled in computer/word processing software
- Physical ability to perform duties including sitting, typing, occasional lifting up to 20 pounds, and driving
