About the role
- Manage all phases of vendor lifecycle and serve as primary point of contact for assigned vendor relationships
- Partner with third-party non-delegated vendors, internal stakeholders, procurement, legal, finance, and leadership
- Collaborate with initiative owners to identify business requirements, evaluate vendor capabilities, and negotiate contracts
- Facilitate vendor operating model activities; maintain vendor operating model and vendor portfolio as central repositories
- Monitor SLA and KPI performance; manage issue resolution and risk mitigation; hold vendors accountable
- Manage RFP/RFQ/RFI processes, market research, proposal requests, discovery/scoping, contract negotiations and execution
- Support financial and security risk assessments, internal system integration and onboarding, purchase order and invoicing needs
- Provide vendor management performance metrics and reporting to leadership
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional meetings and implement industry best practices and process/technology improvements
- Ensure procurement, financial and legal activities adhere to compliance guidelines
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, business or related field or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of healthcare management experience
- Vendor management, client/account management, or contracting experience strongly preferred
- Smartsheet and Excel proficiency preferred
- Candidate residency in California is highly preferred
