About the role
- Support design, implementation, and operational stability of enterprise data protection systems across hybrid environments
- Contribute to data security effectiveness by applying cybersecurity principles and maintaining secure configurations
- Support enhancements to DSPM tools and develop systems for detecting sensitive data accessed by LLMs
- Integrate cloud security controls across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
- Correlate DLP events with SIEM/SOAR telemetry for automated response and prepare reporting on data access trends
- Apply metadata tagging and sensitivity labels aligned with HIPAA, NIST, and ISO 27001 and support audit readiness
- Ensure ongoing stability of server environments, assist with service requests, document SOPs, and support release testing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and enhance detection capabilities
- Perform other duties as assigned and comply with policies and standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) and 2–4 years related experience, or equivalent experience
- Strong grasp of cybersecurity principles: confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, non-repudiation
- Security system design and access control implementation experience
- Experience with Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) tools and sensitive data discovery/classification
- Experience developing systems to detect sensitive data used by or accessed in large language models (LLMs)
- Familiarity with metadata tagging, sensitivity labeling (HIPAA, NIST, ISO 27001)
- Proficiency with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and on-premise infrastructure
- Endpoint controls experience (USB/CD-R restrictions, outbound monitoring)
- SIEM/SOAR integration, telemetry, and security event correlation
- Incident response support and troubleshooting of service issues
- Soft skills: intermediate level problem identification, data collection, independent work, and desire to learn
- Preferred/valued certifications: CISSP (preferred), Proofpoint Email Fraud Defense (preferred), Security+, Cloud+, CEH, CHFI, Microsoft/AWS certifications
