About the role

  • Taking ownership of day-to-day IT operations across the group, ensuring systems and services are reliable, secure and continuously improving
  • Line managing the IT Coordinator, providing direction, support and development
  • Driving the group’s cyber and security improvement programme, strengthening policies, controls and overall security posture
  • Managing relationships with external MSPs and technology suppliers, ensuring delivery against SLAs and project milestones
  • Overseeing IT infrastructure including Microsoft 365, cloud services, networking, endpoint management and server environments
  • Supporting IT due diligence and onboarding for newly acquired businesses, including integration planning
  • Maintaining and improving IT documentation, governance and policy standards across the group
  • Identifying and managing IT-related risks, supporting operational resilience
  • Supporting the Head of IT in delivering the group IT roadmap and prioritising key initiatives
  • Acting as a senior escalation point for IT issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption

Requirements

  • 3–5 years’ experience in IT operations, IT management or a senior IT role within a professional environment
  • Experience working with cyber security frameworks, tools or improvement programmes
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 administration, modern infrastructure and cloud or hybrid environments
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior IT team members
  • Proven ability to manage external MSPs and technology suppliers
