About the role
- Provide supervision and engineering/construction management support for projects in FDOT Districts 1 & 7 (Tampa area)
- Direct highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection program
- Plan and organize the work of subordinate and staff members
- Develop and/or review policies, methods, practices, and procedures
- Review programs for conformance with Department standards
Requirements
- Civil Engineering degree
- P.E. license in the state of Florida or ability to obtain registration in the State of Florida within initial six months of employment
- Prior relevant work experience in the Tampa or Orlando area (required)
- Five (5) years of Senior Project Engineer experience (required)
- Overall ten (10) years of related engineering experience (preferred)
- Minimum of two (2) years of related experience in major road or bridge construction
- Five (5) years in major bridge construction
- For non-degreed personnel: registration and ten (10) years of engineering experience (two (2) years in major road or bridge construction)
- Ability to communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing
- Qualifications: Attend the CTQP Quality Control Manager course and pass the examination
- Certifications: FDOT Advanced MOT
- Must be able to work in the United States to apply
