About the role
- Administer, configure, and maintain UKG (HR, Payroll, and Talent modules) and other related systems
- Act as a subject matter expert and day-to-day owner for HR system enhancements, implementations, testing, and vendor coordination
- Partner cross-functionally to translate business requirements into system configurations and process design
- Execute systems-related projects including open enrollment, payroll updates, and new module rollouts
- Support ongoing system integrations with Finance, Payroll, and third-party vendors
- Develop and maintain recurring and ad hoc reports and dashboards to support workforce planning, turnover tracking, DEI, and compensation planning
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across all HR platforms
- Design and facilitate data governance practices, audits, and controls to meet internal and regulatory standards
- Support HR compliance processes related to employee data, reporting, and security access
- Help operationalize new or updated regulatory requirements across systems and processes
- Partner with stakeholders across HR and adjacent functions to improve and document key processes (e.g., onboarding, job changes, terminations)
- Identify opportunities to automate workflows and reduce manual effort through system capabilities
- Create and maintain clear documentation of system configurations, data flow, and process maps
- Support system-related compliance efforts, including role-based access, audit trails, and documentation controls
- Act as support for escalated system or data issues
- Deliver system training and knowledge support to HR and business users
- Support and collaborate with IT, Legal, Payroll, and Finance teams to ensure alignment across systems and operations
- Maintain productive vendor relationships and coordinate with third parties as needed
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in HRIS or People Operations, with demonstrated UKG configuration and administration experience
- 8+ years of experience delivering HR compliance in a multi-state organization, including hands-on application of employment law, policy, and regulatory requirements
- Proven ability to manage and maintain accurate HR data and reporting deliverables
- Experience supporting or leading cross-functional systems projects
- Strong attention to detail and ability to balance technical depth with practical execution
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment where priorities shift
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, HR, Information Systems, or a related field
- HRIS or project management certification (e.g., UKG Pro Certification, PMP, PHR) preferred
