Exposed to areas of governance such as cyber risk management, and policy and procedures
Work on a range of tasks in which the Cyber Governance team is involved
Gain hands-on experience in all areas of security governance
Interact with members of the Global Cyber Security Team
Triage and solve problems with delegated tasks
Become familiar with current cyber security threats and technologies
Update procedures and methodologies to improve governance processes
Assist the Cyber Governance team with day-to-day activities
Assist with the cyber risk governance program to ensure Cboe has appropriate documented knowledge of security risks and related security controls
Present a final report or complete a project tailored to area of interest
Requirements
Must be enrolled in a university or college program and should not be scheduled to graduate before December of the internship year
Undergraduate student with a strong technology emphasis, majoring in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Cyber Security, Computer Science
Basic security concepts and best practices
Common security threats and vulnerabilities
Basic information security, vendor management and/or cyber risk concepts
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Solid communication skills
Analytical and critical thinking skills
The ability to be coachable and learn
Prior working experience in a security or other technical role (preferred)
Demonstrated leadership ability in a school club or other work environment (preferred)
Superior soft skills and a willingness to learn new skills and concepts (preferred)
