About the role

  • Building amazing long-term customer relationships
  • Creating and executing profitable win-win business propositions

  • Overseeing trade channels covering mainly wholesalers and supermarkets in assigned zone
  • Execution of the annual Operational Plan
  • Developing the assigned territory and growing the team of Sales Reps through close collaboration and daily coaching
  • Conducting significant time “on the road”, visiting customers, doing market research and Sales Rep accompaniments, and collaborating with key stakeholders
  • Leveraging accumulated competencies by participating in cross-functional insight development and commercial planning workshops
  • Providing regular updates to the Senior Manager - Sales
  • Identifying growth opportunities within accounts and developing strategies to expand relationships
  • Handling customer escalations and resolving issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Staying up to date with industry trends, competitors, and best practices to identify risks and opportunities
  • Performing any other duties which may be assigned from time to time

Requirements

  • BSc degree in Business Administration, Finance, or relevant field
  • At least five (5) years work experience as a Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, or relevant role in FCMG
  • Intimate knowledge of down trade and supermarket channels
  • Strong knowledge of retail and/or wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques
  • Proven track record of managing and growing Jamaican Trade channels, ideally with a leading food company
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building relationships
  • Competent in the use of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
