About the role
- Building amazing long-term customer relationships
- Creating and executing profitable win-win business propositions
- Achieving set sales targets
- Overseeing trade channels covering mainly wholesalers and supermarkets in assigned zone
- Execution of the annual Operational Plan
- Developing the assigned territory and growing the team of Sales Reps through close collaboration and daily coaching
- Conducting significant time “on the road”, visiting customers, doing market research and Sales Rep accompaniments, and collaborating with key stakeholders
- Leveraging accumulated competencies by participating in cross-functional insight development and commercial planning workshops
- Providing regular updates to the Senior Manager - Sales
- Identifying growth opportunities within accounts and developing strategies to expand relationships
- Handling customer escalations and resolving issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction
- Staying up to date with industry trends, competitors, and best practices to identify risks and opportunities
- Performing any other duties which may be assigned from time to time
Requirements
- BSc degree in Business Administration, Finance, or relevant field
- At least five (5) years work experience as a Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, or relevant role in FCMG
- Intimate knowledge of down trade and supermarket channels
- Strong knowledge of retail and/or wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques
- Proven track record of managing and growing Jamaican Trade channels, ideally with a leading food company
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building relationships
- Competent in the use of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
