Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs for SSA eligibility systems
Formulate system designs to align with business strategies and develop specifications
Prepare detailed solutions including risk identification, cost/benefit analyses, and technical specifications
Participate in senior-level IT activities within Business Automation and Social Services Applications division
Interpret programmatic policies and determine impacts on automated systems
Engage with stakeholders at all organizational levels to drive system enhancements
Develop and implement continuous process improvement initiatives and analyze performance data
Perform root cause analysis and develop corrective action plans for IT systems and processes
Provide peer reviews of business requirements documentation and coordinate technical writing/editing reviews
Review complex project deliverables (charters, design docs, test plans, risk assessments) and provide feedback
Serve as lead in producing documentation and expertise in response to internal and external audit requests
Prepare and present complex communications and reports to all levels up to executive management
Provide production support and technical assistance to users of SSA eligibility systems

Requirements
Ability to analyze and interpret technical information including regulations, policy, and automation system documentation
Ability to communicate in writing, translating user/business needs into a technical style, and communicating technical instructions to system users
Ability to plan and coordinate individual and group work activities
Ability to detect and diagnose application problems
Ability to create technical designs for solutions to problems
Ability to work professionally with a broad range of stakeholders
Ability to prepare concise business requirements, technical specifications documents and related artifacts
Must be able to pass a background check; may require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a clear, professional, and articulate manner

Proficient in MS Office: Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
Ability to work on-site in Austin, TX; position will be 3 days remote with 2 days (Mon & Fri) required to be onsite
