About the role

  • Provide leadership and vision to diverse and high performing treasury technology team.
  • Leverage strong background in information technology, system support, and / or global treasury processes to achieve enterprise objectives
  • Determine how new technology, systems, or processes can be applied to Caterpillar's global Treasury operations to achieve efficiency and better cash utilization.
  • Develop and deploy technology and analytics strategy across Treasury / Finance
  • Manage a portfolio of strategic projects
  • Research and evaluate technology trends
  • Manage internal and external technology provider relationships
  • Serve as the interface between treasury process owners and the IT organization
  • Deliver high quality user training and business process support
  • Experiment with and implement innovative technology solutions
  • Execute a high-quality IT controls program and support process owners in business control compliance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or information technology related field.
  • 7 or more years of progressive professional experience including leadership roles
  • Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
  • Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Knowledge of effective team building techniques; ability to form and manage effective teams.
  • Knowledge of the principles and methods of managing treasury; ability to use tools, techniques and processes to maximize the value of an organization's financial assets and revenue while minimizing risk.
  • Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, vendors, and peers, and direct reports.
