About the role
- Provide leadership and vision to diverse and high performing treasury technology team.
- Leverage strong background in information technology, system support, and / or global treasury processes to achieve enterprise objectives
- Determine how new technology, systems, or processes can be applied to Caterpillar's global Treasury operations to achieve efficiency and better cash utilization.
- Develop and deploy technology and analytics strategy across Treasury / Finance
- Manage a portfolio of strategic projects
- Research and evaluate technology trends
- Manage internal and external technology provider relationships
- Serve as the interface between treasury process owners and the IT organization
- Deliver high quality user training and business process support
- Experiment with and implement innovative technology solutions
- Execute a high-quality IT controls program and support process owners in business control compliance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or information technology related field.
- 7 or more years of progressive professional experience including leadership roles
- Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
- Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
- Knowledge of effective team building techniques; ability to form and manage effective teams.
- Knowledge of the principles and methods of managing treasury; ability to use tools, techniques and processes to maximize the value of an organization's financial assets and revenue while minimizing risk.
- Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, vendors, and peers, and direct reports.
