About the role
- Spend roughly 70%+ of time on client-facing activities and interactions (e.g., meetings, virtual calls, events, conferences, etc.) with Catalant’s PE Team members. Clients include PE Managing Directors, Operating Partners and C-level executives and VP+ at PE portfolio companies. Expect roughly 35% travel, but no more than 50%.
- Partner with the PE Team members, engage with clients to position Catalant as a key enabler to unlock solutions to their strategic initiatives.
- Develop large consulting opportunities with Client Partners and Associates and drive opportunities to close by developing consulting solutions that align with client’s strategic goals. Present these solutions to highlight Catalant’s unique value proposition.
- Work with Client Partners to expand relationships within their Private Equity clients and earn the right for Catalant to be considered a trusted advisor.
- Support and advise Catalant’s PE Team members to design comprehensive client engagement plans (i.e. key account plans) to deepen the client relationship and grow wallet share.
- Provide thought leadership and input to productized consulting solutions & capabilities required to deliver against current and future demand.
- Thought partner to the Client Directors, Cross-functional VPs, and Executive Leadership Team to help propel Catalant’s Private Equity business.
- Partner with Client Directors to mentor and help elevate Client Partner and Associates skill set as it relates to consultative selling and building equal business stature relationships with their clients.
Requirements
- Recent management consulting experience demonstrating progression with a top-tier consulting firm (e.g. McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Big 4 or equivalent). Preference for former Partner or equivalent with significant business development experience.
- 20+ years of work experience (combination of management consulting and operating experience is ideal) with 10+ years of business development experience in management consulting.
- Deep understanding of Private Equity including a network of PE Managing Directors and/or Operating Partners.
- Proven ability to win business head-to-head against MBB, Big 4, and other consulting firms.
- A passion for mentorship with the ability to deliver positive and constructive feedback.
- MBA required, MBA from a Top 25 program strongly preferred.
