About the role
- Assist in board and committee meeting preparation
- Support the Company’s compliance efforts with applicable federal and state healthcare regulations
- Manage various state and federal compliance filings
- Assist with the preparation of periodic SEC reports and Section 16 filings
- Support the legal team in the preparation of the proxy statement
- Establish and manage the Company’s contract management system
- Support the Chief Legal Officer in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts
- Assist finance department with various stock administration needs
- Conduct legal research on a variety of issues
- Manage and maintain records, filings and other legal documentation
- Develop and refine internal legal processes and workflows
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program strongly preferred
- Certified Paralegal (CP) or Advanced Certified Paralegal (ACP) designation is a plus
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience as a paralegal, with at least 3+ years in a public med tech, biotech, or life sciences environment
- Prior experience at a top-tier law firm is a plus
- Substantial experience with contract management systems and board portals is a must
- Experience with equity administration platforms is a plus
- Understanding of FDA, HIPAA and other healthcare regulatory frameworks
