About the role
- Join Cargill\'s animal nutrition and health business to improve animal lives through better nutrition.
- Expand business with assigned customers and prospects in the U.S. pork sector.
- Learn customer needs and deliver value-added solutions through collaboration with account teams.
- Develop and implement strategy for designated customers to expand relationships and improve margin growth.
- Establish long-term partnerships and clarify mid- to long-term customer needs.
- Collect external market insights to understand competitors and influence trends.
- Build and nurture internal networks and lead collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Use tailored storytelling and thought leadership to inspire customers and create excitement around our solutions.
- Work with limited direction, provide strategic contribution and potentially direct supporting team members.
- Up to 50% travel required; other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor\'s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of two years of related work experience in sales, commercial or business development or related field
- Knowledge of animal nutrition or pork industry
- Able and willing to travel up to 50% to cover area of responsibility
- Valid driver\'s license in good standing
- Preferred: Animal science or animal nutrition background
- Preferred: Experience working with Salesforce
- Preferred: Experience understanding customer needs and adding value to partnerships with face-to-face customer interaction, relationship building and communication skills
- Preferred: Experience in business development in highly competitive mature markets
- Preferred: Experience in consultative sales approach
