About the role
- Own and drive Observability across the CapitalOne Cloud ecosystem of AWS, GCP and Azure by collecting key inventory attributes, configurations, relationships & dependencies, then enriching and delivering the data to internal customers via APIs, UI visualizations.
- Set long-term strategy, collaborate on build-vs-buy decisions at enterprise scale, and guide Capital One’s software engineers and site reliability engineers toward well-managed, well-governed cloud observability infrastructure.
- Interact with AI/ML teams to apply new, greenfield use cases to our observability data.
- Breakdown business epics into features and further into user stories, driving your team towards lowest effort or Minimal Viable Product (MVP) for a valid feature test.
- Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact, support in prioritizing feature development roadmaps, ensuring all necessary processes and procedures are followed to manage risk.
- Collaborate with designers, technologists, data scientists and subject-matter experts to build cutting edge solutions to help customers.
- Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding and articulate a succinct product roadmap to deliver business value and share with stakeholders, elevating your team’s results and becoming a product matter expert.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience working in Product Management
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date: A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration
- Understanding of Resilience Engineering, observability, or Chaos Engineering concepts (preferred)
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification (preferred)
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - certification or extensive experience in AWS (preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in Agile product management (preferred)
