Own and drive Observability across the CapitalOne Cloud ecosystem of AWS, GCP and Azure by collecting key inventory attributes, configurations, relationships & dependencies, then enriching and delivering the data to internal customers via APIs, UI visualizations.
Set long-term strategy, collaborate on build-vs-buy decisions at enterprise scale, and guide Capital One’s software engineers and site reliability engineers toward well-managed, well-governed cloud observability infrastructure.
Interact with AI/ML teams to apply new, greenfield use cases to our observability data.
Breakdown business epics into features and further into user stories, driving your team towards lowest effort or Minimal Viable Product (MVP) for a valid feature test.
Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact, support in prioritizing feature development roadmaps, ensuring all necessary processes and procedures are followed to manage risk.
Collaborate with designers, technologists, data scientists and subject-matter experts to build cutting edge solutions to help customers.
Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding and articulate a succinct product roadmap to deliver business value and share with stakeholders, elevating your team’s results and becoming a product matter expert.
Requirements
At least 5 years of experience working in Product Management
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date: A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration
Understanding of Resilience Engineering, observability, or Chaos Engineering concepts (preferred)
AWS Certified Solutions Architect - certification or extensive experience in AWS (preferred)
5+ years of experience in Agile product management (preferred)
