About the role
- Lead Treasury Accounting related activities and oversee accurate, timely processing of financial transactions, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
- Provide critical input for daily accounting tasks, ensuring integrity and accuracy of financial data.
- In charge of automation, analytics and driving efficiencies within the Controllers value stream.
- Define requirements, validate content, and solve business problems; frequently using automation tools to drive efficiencies.
- Communicate and present data to management by developing and sustaining reports using Business Intelligence tools.
- Determine areas for process optimization through independent data analysis or in response to partner and leadership requests.
- Identify opportunities to use data to develop new strategies and improve business performance; perform quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
- Partner with the Treasury Accounting group to implement/update automations to future state post new subledger implementation.
- Provide accounting/financial services subject matter expertise on project implementation efforts and develop new automations of existing manual processes.
- Proactively communicate with partners and leadership, analyze data, gather metrics, identify pain points and rationalize business processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or military experience
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting, OR finance, OR a combination
- Preferred: 7+ years of experience in accounting
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience in financial services
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience analyzing data with Python, or SQL, or Tableau, or a combination
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience with Oracle PeopleSoft Financials, or SAP, or Workday Financials or a combination
- Preferred: 1+ year of experience working with SimCorp in an accounting capacity
- Preferred: Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Master’s Degree in Accounting
- Preferred: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools and automation tools
- Experience leveraging Python and SQL to drive efficiencies in day to day processes
