About the role
- Focus on Data Risk Management for Capital One’s Risk Management organization
- Ensure compliance with enterprise data standards and procedures for assigned areas of responsibility
- Provide data risk guidance both within and beyond the organization
- Influence data risk policies and procedures at the enterprise level
- Develop and leverage relationships with line of business and enterprise data management stakeholders
- Create the strategy for the organization’s data management efforts to align to enterprise data policies
- Monitor and report the organization’s data management efforts, identify gaps and remediation options, and escalate impediments to senior leadership
- Design and/or share data management processes, procedures, and tools
- Design and implement local data governance processes and procedures
- Change Management: ensure data management impacts are assessed, documented, and implemented by the organization
- People management of one to four associates
- Highly autonomous and highly collaborative role
Requirements
- Bachelors’ Degree or Military Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in data management, data quality assurance, or data warehousing
- At least 5 years of experience in business systems analysis, audit, project management, or supporting internal business clients
- At least 2 years of experience in people management
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience in anti-money laundering, compliance, or risk management
- Preferred: 2+ year of experience with reporting tools such as Tableau or QuickSight
- Preferred: 2+ year of experience with data inquiry and extraction using SQL, Python, or Presto
- Preferred: 7+ years of experience in data management, data quality assurance, or data warehousing
- Preferred: 7+ years of experience in business systems analysis, audit, project management, or supporting internal business clients
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience in people management
