About the role
- Lead the overall architecture and design of large-scale Pega applications.
- Define reusable components, frameworks, data models, integrations, and design patterns.
- Ensure end-to-end solution alignment with business requirements and technical standards.
- Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and performance assessments.
- Oversee the technical delivery of Pega programs across multiple workstreams.
- Provide technical leadership to developers, senior system architects (SSAs), and business architects (BAs).
- Resolve complex technical issues and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with clients, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Establish Pega guardrails, coding standards, and development best practices.
- Guide teams in PRPC optimization, performance tuning, security, and scalability.
- Lead design for integrations with enterprise systems (REST/SOAP APIs, Databases, Queues, etc.).
- Review and optimize CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies for Pega applications.
- Mentor and coach Pega developers and SSAs.
- Contribute to Pega competency building within Capgemini.
- Lead technical sessions, design forums, and innovation initiatives.
Requirements
- Must Have Pega Lead System Architect (LSA) Certification – mandatory.
- 10+ years of IT experience, with 6+ years in Pega PRPC.
- Strong expertise in Pega 8.x architecture and modules.
- Experience in designing enterprise-scale Pega solutions with complex workflows.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Case Management
- Decisioning & Strategies
- Data Pages, Integrations, Connectors
- Authentication & Security
- Performance tuning & guardrails
- End-to-end Pega application design, from requirements to deployment.
- Experience with databases (Oracle, Postgres, SQL), APIs, microservices, and enterprise systems.
- Understanding of cloud deployment (Pega Cloud, AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Excellent communication with strong client-facing capability.
- Ability to lead technical teams and work in an agile environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
