About the role

  • Provide expert advice on disability insurance claims related to musculoskeletal disorders
  • Review disability insurance claims for musculoskeletal disorders and respond in writing to enquiries within standard timelines
  • Promote best practices, efficient use of tools and interventions, and resources to ensure optimal case management
  • Foster improved communication, outcome-oriented planning, and critical analysis skills to manage claims effectively
  • Stay current on advances related to musculoskeletal disorders and disability management strategies
  • Collaborate with the best practices team and internal stakeholders to influence the development and continuous improvement of tools and practices to optimize claims handling
  • Deliver training and provide individual and group mentorship

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in physiotherapy, sports therapy, kinesiology, or a related musculoskeletal health field
  • Two to five years of experience in disability case management or musculoskeletal consultation
  • Proven ability to handle complex claims using evidence-based approaches
  • Strong mentoring, coaching, and change management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities
  • Creative, solution-focused problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable using technologies such as Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Bilingualism (French/English) considered an asset
  • Reliability status and security clearance — Only candidates who have received a job offer will be required to undergo these checks.
