About the role
- Provide expert advice on disability insurance claims related to musculoskeletal disorders
- Review disability insurance claims for musculoskeletal disorders and respond in writing to enquiries within standard timelines
- Promote best practices, efficient use of tools and interventions, and resources to ensure optimal case management
- Foster improved communication, outcome-oriented planning, and critical analysis skills to manage claims effectively
- Stay current on advances related to musculoskeletal disorders and disability management strategies
- Collaborate with the best practices team and internal stakeholders to influence the development and continuous improvement of tools and practices to optimize claims handling
- Deliver training and provide individual and group mentorship
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in physiotherapy, sports therapy, kinesiology, or a related musculoskeletal health field
- Two to five years of experience in disability case management or musculoskeletal consultation
- Proven ability to handle complex claims using evidence-based approaches
- Strong mentoring, coaching, and change management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities
- Creative, solution-focused problem-solving skills
- Comfortable using technologies such as Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Bilingualism (French/English) considered an asset
- Reliability status and security clearance — Only candidates who have received a job offer will be required to undergo these checks.
