About the role
- Support the Property Manager in cultivating a motivated, high-performing team and lead by example
- Promote a friendly, service-oriented office environment that prioritizes resident satisfaction
- Drive leasing efforts to achieve and maintain target occupancy (goal: 99%) and implement renewal/retention strategies
- Conduct outreach marketing on campus and with local businesses and support annual marketing plan development
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the property and local competitors through market research
- Ensure digital and print marketing materials are current and on-brand; coordinate resident events and community-building functions
- Represent the property at university functions and student programming partnerships
- Deliver first-class service to residents, prospects, and parents and resolve resident concerns professionally
- Maintain accurate records in property management software and process leases and administrative paperwork
- Support property upkeep and curb appeal and identify areas for improvement
- Assist in achieving NOI targets, support rent collection efforts to meet/exceed a 98% collection rate, and identify revenue/improvement opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 2–5 years of experience in student or multifamily housing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience with property management software, preferably Entrata
- Familiarity with both market-rate and LIHTC programs is a plus
- Understanding and adherence to Fair Housing and EEO laws
- Experience in hiring, staff development, budgeting, marketing strategy, and scheduling
- Ability to pass criminal background and drug screening
