About the role

  • Manage the end-to-end sales lifecycle for the Japanese market.
  • Target Account Planning: Create a clear plan for your region, focusing on important potential clients for Cambly.
  • Building Your Pipeline: Maintain your sales funnel including both inbound and outbound leads.
  • Consultative Selling: Use smart questioning and "value-selling" to understand client needs and build strong relationships.
  • Networking: Strengthen relationships with high-level executives through meetings and events.
  • Travel: Be ready to travel up to 5% of the time for meetings and events.
  • Executive Partnerships: Work directly with senior leaders to solve business problems and gain their support for large programs.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the Marketing team.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience (SaaS, HR Tech, or professional services preferred) and a track record of influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Native-level Japanese for the market and Business-level English to collaborate with our global team.
  • Comfortable with CRM tools (such as HubSpot) and use engagement metrics to back up your sales strategy.
  • Thrive in remote, fast-paced environments and are motivated by the challenge of "owning" a market.
  • Prior experience working at a fast-growing startup is preferred.
  • Experience in the EdTech, E-Learning, HR Software, or Well-being sector is a plus.
  • Experience with public sector or government procurement is an advantage.
