Engineer

• Work with the wider team to develop Callen-Lenz flight control and simulation software.
• Participate in software project teams to design and document software.
• Communicate with stakeholders and other departments to ensure software meets requirements.
• Model-based design of flight control software using Simulink or similar.
• Develop the design and maintenance of autopilot simulation software.
• Coordinate and contribute to flight performance studies.
• Develop flight dynamics models for company products.
• Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to define software requirements.
• Review software source code and model designs.
• Ensure regular testing and test recording to ensure correct operation of software.
• Support the Project Manager in scoping, defining and estimating project tasks.

Flight Control Engineer

Business Operations

• Lead and develop core IT teams (Business Applications, Infrastructure, Dev Ops)
• Define team objectives, drive performance and support capability and succession planning
• Oversee applications to ensure compliance, integration, effective upgrades, vendor management, and strategic alignment
• Manage application roadmap, upgrades, vendors and data consistency
• Partner with Service Delivery to ensure smooth operations and user satisfaction
• Own the lifecycle, performance, and optimisation of enterprise applications (e.g. PLM, MES, CRM, HR, Finance, M365, Power BI)
• Enable DevOps, CI/CD, automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
• Align IT systems with cybersecurity standards and risk management requirements
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver IT solutions and drive transformation
• Ensure systems and processes comply with GDPR, UK defence sector regulations, export control and security requirements
• Perform other related duties as required

IT Business Systems Manager

• Reporting to the Estimating Lead, take complete ownership for capturing data from across the Callen-Lenz SME community that will directly feed into generating reliable cost modelling information
• Attend bid launch meetings to understand all technical requirements of the customer which transpose into estimating needs
• Work closely with internal cross-functional teams to gather detailed information for cost build-up of estimates
• Populate the Callen-Lenz cost model with gathered information ready for internal reviews
• Identify & highlight any gaps or assumptions in the data for risk analysis
• Present estimating outputs at gate reviews
• Perform other related duties as required
• Demonstrate in daily activities a commitment to health and safety in the workplace by always ensuring tasks are performed in the safest possible manner
• Report all hazards and incidents that the individual is party to, or observes, in the correct manner
• Participate in any health and safety training when required or directed
