Accountant

• Provide financial support and analysis to the Finance Manager and Project teams to drive financial performance on the programmes.
• Manage and be responsible for the financial and project reporting requirements for specific projects (including internal investment), providing accurate, timely and relevant management information as well as providing advice and guidance to the project teams.
• Finance business partner to the project teams, providing financial support and guidance to drive programme performance.
• Provide Financial support to requests for internal investment (R&D and CAPEX) to ensure business cases are understood and there is a route to recovering the investment through future work.
• Support the project team to manage the Estimate At Completion (EAC), challenging estimates and assumptions to drive financial performance.
• Produce monthly project financial reporting and analysis for the project teams.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with the organisation's operations and projects.
• Own the investment register and produce monthly analysis to help the management team understand movements in project financial performance.
• Produce timely and accurate project forecasts for Order Intake, Revenue, Profit and Cash Flow and complete monthly variance analysis against actuals to help the business understand its performance.
• Complete monthly Revenue recognition under IFRS15 for your projects.
• Drive improvements with working capital management on the projects and produce analysis/reporting to highlight performance to management.

Project Accountant

Systems Engineer

• Design and development of avionics systems for unmanned air systems, including flight control, navigation, communication, electrical, payload, aircraft management and command & control (C2) systems.
• Aid in integration of systems, including other air vehicle systems such as power plant and fuel systems
• Support wider aircraft systems design, such as cabling and loom/wire harness design.
• Assessment of system and subsystem failures and impacts to other systems
• Support and enable flight test development activities
• Maintain test facilities
• In addition to support to existing team, the Graduate Systems Engineer will be expected to grow their experience and progress

Graduate Systems Engineer

Principal

• Lead sourcing activity for complex or high-value goods, materials, components and services in line with commercial, operational and programme requirements.
• Develop and implement sourcing and category strategies that enhance supply continuity, reduce risk and deliver measurable commercial value.
• Take ownership of key supplier relationships, including performance management, contract compliance, escalation management and the delivery of supplier improvement plans.
• Lead negotiations relating to contracts, pricing, service levels and terms of business using recognised procurement and commercial best practice.
• Provide market intelligence, supplier insight and cost analysis to support informed decision-making, budget control and strategic planning.
• Assess tenders and quotations and make robust recommendations based on commercial, operational, quality and risk considerations.
• Support new product introduction, project delivery and operational initiatives by engaging stakeholders early and advising on procurement risks, opportunities and dependencies.
• Identify and deliver cost reduction, value improvement and process efficiency initiatives across the supply base and wider procurement function.
• Ensure the accurate and timely placement of purchase orders and contracts in accordance with negotiated terms and company policies.
• Resolve supplier issues relating to price, quality, delivery, capacity or invoice discrepancies in a timely, professional and commercially appropriate manner.

• Responsible for managing Callen-Lenz’s Business Winning Process, bringing structure and governance to bids and proposals.
• Work closely with teams across technical, commercial, finance, programmes and business development.
• Use market insight, stakeholder engagement and opportunity research to identify, assess and coordinate relevant opportunities.
• Lead the planning, management and delivery of bids and proposals.
• Line manages and mentors the bid team.
• Analyse and monitor market trends, opportunity portals.
• Review tender documentation and distribute key information.
• Coordinate and lead multifunctional bid teams.
• Support commercial activity through pricing inputs.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports for senior management.

Bid & Proposal Manager

Payroll

• Process monthly UK payroll, including starters, leavers, salary changes, and variable pay.
• Ensure accurate calculation of pay, deductions, overtime, bonuses, and statutory payments.
• Administer PAYE, National Insurance, student loans, and court orders.
• Process statutory payments including SSP, SMP, SAP, and SPP.
• Manage pension auto enrolment, opt ins and opt outs in line with legislation.
• Maintain accurate employee payroll records in compliance with HMRC and company requirements.
• Administer the full suite of employee benefits including pensions, private medical insurance, life assurance, income protection, and salary sacrifice schemes.
• Act as the main point of contact for employee benefit queries, ensuring a high quality service experience.
• Support benefits enrolment, renewals, and life event changes.
• Liaise with benefit providers and brokers to ensure accurate data, timely updates, and correct billing.

Payroll and Benefits Officer

• Manage the growth of the Systems Engineering department and champion the use of systems thinking practices across the business.
• Be responsible for establishing and maintaining systems engineering principles and tools across delivery teams.
• Provide pastoral care and career development for the growing department.
• Lead & Grow the Systems Engineering Department.
• Guide, or lead where appropriate, the department in their technical duties.
• Define, implement, and continuously improve the Systems Engineering processes, tools, templates, and ways of working, aligned to standards where appropriate (such as ARP4754, ISO15288).

Systems Engineering Manager

• Manage deployment of the Avionics & Test team according to resource demand from across the delivery streams.
• Responsible for the continuous improvement of our processes and tools in the Avionics & Test department.

• Lead the Avionics & Test department, including: Functional & Capability Leadership.
• Guide, or lead where appropriate, the team in their technical duties.

• Establish and maintain fit-for-purpose tools for the Avionics & Test department, integrated with the rest of Engineering and the wider business.
• Promote cross-discipline collaboration (systems, air vehicle, software, manufacturing) to improve integration outcomes.
• Lead major technical reviews and assurance activities to ensure performance, safety, and airworthiness of delivered systems.
• Identify and remove inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and duplication across engineering workflows.
• Allocate and prioritise avionics & test engineers across delivery streams based on programme priorities and project demand signals.
• Maintain clear visibility of department allocation, utilisation, and skills coverage to ensure effective execution.
• Act as escalation point for delivery risks relating to avionics integration and test activities.

Avionics – Test Engineering Manager

Engineer

• Work with the wider team to develop Callen-Lenz flight control and simulation software.
• Participate in software project teams to design and document software.
• Communicate with stakeholders and other departments to ensure software meets requirements.
• Model-based design of flight control software using Simulink or similar.
• Develop the design and maintenance of autopilot simulation software.
• Coordinate and contribute to flight performance studies.
