About the role

Lead technical execution of enterprise network modernization efforts at U.S. Air Force bases
Oversee site surveys, develop network designs, and guide installation activities across wired, wireless, and broadband systems
Implement secure architectures and create topology diagrams
Support SPRIP development (preliminary and final) and ensure installations meet safety and site restoration standards
Provide Post-Deployment Over-the-Shoulder-Training to O&M team and assist in troubleshooting post-deployment
Design and implement routing policies and load balancing using BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP
Create cyber artifacts: topology/data flow diagrams, hardware/software lists, STIG checklists, ports/protocols/services, and POA&Ms
Provide implementation and support of network management such as SNMP, SYSLOG, and orchestration
Create LOM to capture components and installation materials
Ensure network solutions comply with DAF policies and coordinate with local Communication Squadron and regional cybersecurity teams for cutover

Degree: Technical BA/BS degree
7 years experience with bachelor’s degree
High School diploma or associate degree plus a minimum of 9 years performing as a Network Engineer on large, complex networks (alternative)
Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret (TS/SCI may be needed for some locations)
Certifications desired: CCNP or equivalent; CompTIA Security+
Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio) and AutoCAD
Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Willing to travel (Up to 25% travel, local)
Experience with BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP routing protocols
Experience with SNMP, SYSLOG, orchestration, and network management
Experience creating cyber artifacts: topology/data flow diagrams, STIG checklists, ports/protocols/services, POA&Ms
Ability to lead site surveys, network assessments, and SPRIP development
Experience designing and implementing secure networks, systems, and application architectures
