Lead technical execution of enterprise network modernization efforts at U.S. Air Force bases across CONUS.
Oversee site surveys, develop network designs, and guide installation activities across wired, wireless, and broadband systems.
Implement secure architectures, create topology diagrams, support SPRIP development, and ensure post-installation transition success through direct collaboration with engineering and O&M teams.
Lead development of designs, plans and policies, and implementations of data networks to meet connectivity, availability, reliability, and security SLAs.
Lead site surveys and network assessments to determine hardware and software components for network upgrades.
Ensure installations meet safety standards and restore sites to original or better condition.
Provide Post-Deployment Over-the-Shoulder-Training to the O&M team for smooth transitions.
Design and implement routing policies and load balancing solutions using BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
Create cyber artifacts such as topology/data flow diagrams, hardware/software lists, STIG checklists, ports/protocols/services, and POA&Ms.
Provide implementation and support of network management such as SNMP, SYSLOG, and orchestration.
Create LOM to capture major components and installation materials.
Prepare or contribute to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.
Ensure network solutions comply with DAF policies and established IT system integrations.
Coordinate with local Communication Squadron and regional cybersecurity teams to configure, turn up, and cutover new deployments.
Assist O&M team in troubleshooting network-related issues post-deployment and resolve technical issues with networks, hardware, and software.
Requirements
Degree: Technical BA/BS degree.
Experience: 7 years with BA/BS degree.
Commensurate: High School diploma or associate degree with a minimum of 10 years performing as a Manager in DoD or commercial environment supporting large, complex networks.
Willingness to travel (Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 25%).
Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret. Specific locations may require TS/SCI.
Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
Proficient with MS Project and other software applications as required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience managing telecommunications and/or data center projects.
30-hour OSHA Construction Safety Class preferred.
