Relationship Manage a portfolio of SME customers, understanding customers’ needs and business aspirations and looking for opportunities to support them via Allica Bank services and external networks
Provide every customer with a Relationship Manager to work alongside them and provide outstanding service
Support customers through Allica Bank products including Business Current Accounts, Savings Accounts, Commercial Loans, Asset Finance and Working Capital Facilities
Originate SME lending opportunities for both existing and new customers from initial enquiry through to completion, including writing credit papers in line with Allica’s credit policy and appetite
Deliver the business plan for your local area and actively manage your objectives and personal development plan
Build and maintain strong networks of trusted SME advisors such as accountants, solicitors and business organisations (not commercial finance brokers)
Represent Allica in the local area and ensure excellent service for local SME customers, prospects and advisors
Work closely and collaboratively with all areas of Allica to ensure a seamless and professional service
Be a positive contributor to Allica’s culture and demonstrate the bank’s values
Comply with all mandatory policies and operational procedures to maintain internal controls
Requirements
Highly capable Relationship Manager and Business Developer with a long-term track record of building high-value, trust based and long-lasting referral relationships
Strong understanding of SME banking, including a background in commercial lending
History of exemplary level of service and of maximising the value with prospects and customers
Passion for SMEs, self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Evidence of strong career progression and/or outperformance
Ability to structure new lending proposals and write credit applications
Proven track record in generating new income opportunities whilst effectively managing credit risk
Ability to analyse and review financial accounts and associated information
Must already reside in the UK and not require UK sponsorship for employment (application states applicants must already reside in the UK)
