About the role

  • Successfully remote relationship managing a portfolio of established SME businesses, providing secured lending including commercial mortgages and asset finance, as well as current accounts and deposit facilities.
  • Proactive Credit risk management of your portfolio, including using data alerts and insight to identify early warning indicators and support with further advances where required.
  • Working closely with business owners to support their plans and ambitions through originating new lending opportunities from initial enquiry to completion, including assessing and proposing credit papers inline with Allica’s credit policies and appetite.
  • Leading and developing a small team of relationship managers, providing coaching and support. This will include regular performance reviews and intervention where appropriate.
  • Communicating and tracking key objectives within your portfolio and your team to ensure high levels of service and customer outcomes.
  • Actively managing your own objectives and personal development plan, supporting the Senior Central Relationship Manager with the delivery of the team goals and ambitions.
  • You will be able to evidence the ability to work independently when supporting established SMEs with their requirements, and also the ability to coach others.
  • Working closely and collaboratively with varying teams across Allica Bank to ensure a seamless and professional service is always provided.

  • Complying with all mandatory policies and adhering to operational procedures.

Requirements

  • A deep passion for supporting and helping established SME’s to grow and achieve their ambitions.
  • A self-starter, organised and able to be flexible in a fast paced environment.
  • A highly capable relationship builder, with a history of delivering support for SME’s through the provision of financing, deposit facilities and banking services.
  • You will have strong credit skills, including the ability to build a deep understanding of a business plans, analyse their financial accounts and propose a suitable structure that helps them with their goals whilst mitigating identified risks.
  • You can demonstrate a strong understanding of SME banking, including a well founded knowledge of commercial lending and securities.
  • The ability to deliver against challenging personal goals whilst also supporting a team to do the same.
  • A background in generating and unlocking new opportunities from an existing portfolio of clients as well as attracting new clients to the bank.
