• Work alongside project stakeholders to pinpoint, evaluate, and prioritize potential risks at various stages of the construction project lifecycle.
• Support the creation and execution of risk management plans and frameworks.
• Help track project milestones and risk indicators, delivering timely updates to the Risk Lead and refining mitigation measures as necessary.
• Promote effective communication and teamwork between project teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure project objectives are met.
• Maintain compliance with safety protocols, management systems, and organizational values and standards.
• Gather and organize relevant documentation to support potential claims or litigation matters.
• Coordinate and organize relevant documentation in connection to insurance matters, including for claims, obtaining certificates, and coverage compliance in coordination with an insurance Broker.
• Help coordinate insurance coverage, bonding, and claims management, including tracking certificates.
• Act as a liaison with brokers, adjusters, legal advisors, consultants, and site teams.
• Assist in liaising with insurance adjusters and Broker(s) and sureties for bond requirements, as required.
• Assist in liaising with external legal counsel on issues related to litigation, liens, and claims.
• Provide support in drafting formal notices.
• Work with the Director of Risk Management to help identify and evaluate risks.
• Perform risk assessments on contracts and report findings along with actionable recommendations.
• Contribute to the review and resolution of construction claims, including those tied to contracts, delays, and performance (spanning project, insurance, and bond claims).
• Assist legal and construction teams in navigating dispute resolution processes such as arbitration, mediation, and litigation.
• Review insurance clauses in contracts and subcontracts to ensure they meet project-specific coverage needs.
• Support the handling of incidents involving bonds, insurance claims, and construction-related disputes.
• Assist in document management for ongoing litigation and related legal issues.
• Contribute to the development of reports and processes for risk related matters as needed.

Risk Coordinator

Manager

• Lead project development activities after the RFP/Tender stage through early concept and into pre-construction, then construction
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients to ensure requirements are conveyed
• Prepare all related trade packages for construction by utilizing prequalified trade partners for tendering purposes
• Develop bid packages with estimating, staff and procurement staff
• Support business development efforts by assisting with estimates, proposals, and presentations
• Conduct and oversee constructability reviews, risk registers, and value engineering exercises
• Develop early concept schedules and logistics plans to guide project planning
• Apply expertise in contract structures (CCDC, GMP, Lump Sum, etc.) and support permitting processes
• Lead trade procurement strategies, including sequential tendering and early trade engagement for long-lead and critical scopes
• Collaborate closely with estimating, scheduling, and procurement teams to manage project risk and align preconstruction deliverables
• Represent Buttcon at client meetings, interviews, and with municipal/regulatory authorities

Project Development Manager

Project Manager

• Responsible for all aspects of the project.
• Establish and maintain excellent relationships with owners, architects, consultants, trades, and the public.
• Promote Buttcon’s services and ensure client satisfaction.
• Act as a liaison between all Project Team members, both internal and external.
• Ensure compliance with Buttcon’s Health and Safety Program.
• Provide key leadership, set examples, and ensure safety minutes are provided.
• Ensure that all permits, insurance, and bonding are in place.
• Supervise, mentor, coach, and train project personnel.
• Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost control measures are in place.
• Prepare a cash-flow and update it as required.
• Prepare monthly progress billings and monitor receipt of payment certificates.
• Prepare the baseline schedule; maintain and update it throughout the project.
• Deal with all day-to-day correspondence and ensure that the job site receives all correspondence in a timely manner.
• Apply for substantial performance and total completion.

• Responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects from initiation to completion.
• Work directly with clients and various departments to ensure project delivery on time and within budget.
• Lead project teams for multiple projects while managing all aspects of the project life cycle.
• Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
