About the role
- Independently manage a large, complex West Coast customer portfolio with diverse go-to-market strategies, requiring strong prioritization and planning skills.
- Lead efforts to develop influential plans to secure the best possible DSMP of Bumble Bee items.
- Maintain a strong in-market presence through regular customer meetings, broker leadership and store visits.
- Forecasting volume and sharing relevant customer information to ensure accurate deployment of inventory across the supply chain.
- Deliver excellence in forecasting, inclusive of volume, promotional planning, and post promotion analysis within the corresponding trade system.
- Work with cross-functional partners to deliver the best possible outcomes (Order processing, deductions management, category management, supply chain, marketing).
- Aggressively manage deductions at assigned customers to an expeditious resolution.
- Develop a best in class understanding of Shelf Stable Seafood/Protein through continuous education efforts.
- Maintain the highest ethical and professional standards regarding business dealings with internal and external customers, inclusive of, but not limited to, effective time management & communication, and meeting preparation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree Preferred
- Business or Marketing preferred
- 3-5 years of CPG Sales or Category Management experience, ideally calling directly on West Regional customers.
- Proven track record of ownership-oriented behavior, including proactive planning, follow-up, and execution.
- Computer literate; able to produce Excel spreadsheets, Word documents and PowerPoint.
- Understand and be able to apply syndicated data analysis into sales presentations.
- Fundamental and working knowledge of Trade Fund Management systems and internal sales/shipment reporting systems.
- Experience with CAS (TPM), Cognos and SAP preferred but not mandatory.
- Able to travel at least 25% of the time.
