About the role
- Lead Buildertrend’s positioning and messaging architecture, shifting from feature-focused messaging to problem-led stories that resonate with builders and contractors
- Define ideal customer profiles, segment needs, buying triggers, and adoption barriers to guide targeted growth strategies.
- Map customers journeys to enable segment-led strategies and precise targeting.
- Serve as an internal evangelist for Buildertrend’s positioning and value proposition, partnering with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to plan and execute high-impact product launches.
- Build a continuous insights engine that gathers win and loss feedback, customer input, competitive intelligence, and pricing insights.
- Ensure consistent messaging across campaigns, sales enablement, and customer communications.
- Proactively identify opportunities for Marketing and GTM teams to influence or source revenue across the full customer lifecycle—from acquisition to expansion and renewal.
- Monitor execution quality across campaigns, launches, and sales motions, ensuring messaging lands as intended and driving adjustments to improve performance.
- Partner with Product to shape value propositions early; lead cross-functional GTM planning across Sales, CS/Services, and Marketing for high-impact launches.
- Develop and lead a high-performing product marketing team, establishing clear operating rhythms and measurable outcomes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field required.
- 7+ years of product marketing experience in a B2B SaaS company required.
- 3-5+ years of leading or managing a product marketing team within a B2B SaaS company required.
- Prior experience in a construction technology company is a plus!
- Embrace AI tooling to accelerate marketing research, Intelligence, and analysis.
- Experience shifting organizations from feature-focused messaging to customer-centered narratives that improve win rates and deal size.
- Experience rebuilding or maturing launch processes and delivering measurable pipeline impact.
- Experience partnering with Sales and RevOps on pipeline growth, segment strategies, and conversion improvements.
- Strong skills in market research, ICP definition, journey mapping, win/loss analysis, and competitive strategy.
- Clear and confident communicator who can translate complexities into clear, compelling stories.
- Ability to travel to our HQ office in Omaha, NE at least once per quarter.
