About the role
- Customer management & account support
- New customer acquisition as well as management and development of key account customers (focus: single-tier retail)
- Preparation and execution of client meetings, annual reviews, trade shows & events (in-person & virtual)
- Conduct regular store checks for market and competitive monitoring
- Lead price and assortment negotiations to secure and increase sales and profitability targets
- Control of all promotional funds (WKZ) & investment decisions
- Create & update volume forecasts
- Analyze customer and market data to derive actions for assortment, pricing, or distribution decisions
- Collaborate on cross-functional projects and closely coordinate with Supply Chain, Finance and Marketing departments
Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a comparable qualification
- Several years' experience in Key Account Management, ideally in FMCG and retail environments
- Strong skills in negotiation, budget and sales planning
- Analytical strength and experience with market data tools (e.g., Nielsen, GfK, Circana)
- High customer orientation, excellent communication skills and a confident demeanor
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, trade shows & store checks
