About the role

  • Delivers and supports the Defence Contract Accounting operation financial results into the GL with integrity, accuracy and compliance to policies and regulations
  • Accountable for Defence Business Accounting judgments and accounting papers
  • Supports standardisation of accounting and reporting function for secure Business
  • Supports Defence Business for Technical Accounting by example: Accounting, Deferred Cost and Discount Papers Complex Contract Judgements Accounting Policies adherence & advice Goodwill Impairments Financing Arrangements Specifics P&L Classifications Performance Obligations & Judgements Leasing / IFRS16 IAS37 Annual Re-assessment

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant
  • SC Clearance or eligibility for SC clearance
  • Accounting principles knowledge and application
  • Financial & data analysis and insight
  • Process mapping/documentation
  • Financial controls, compliance and risk
  • Statutory and external financial reporting
  • Auditing/audit management
  • Financial accounting & reporting
