About the role
- Build, maintain, and manage relationships with clients, prospects, carrier partners, and internal teams.
- Identify coverage gaps and provide clients with appropriate insurance solutions.
- Conduct loss analysis, coverage reviews, policy form evaluations, and assist with claims questions.
- Handle policy servicing tasks including endorsements, invoicing, certificates, premium details, and policy changes.
- Manage the full renewal process, including analysis, negotiation, proposals, and binder delivery.
- Grow the book of business through networking, referrals, and cross‑selling opportunities.
- Support the sales team in new business meetings and onboarding new clients.
- Develop and present educational materials that add value for clients and prospects.
- Resolve complex client disputes related to claims.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, legal requirements, and client expectations for policies and documentation.
- Promote teamwork, uphold agency guidelines, maintain performance standards, and complete additional assigned duties.
Requirements
- Valid Property and Casualty Insurance Producer license in good standing.
- Professional Designation specific to area of specialty (ie, ARM, CIC, RPLU) (preferred)
- Proficient knowledge of insurance coverages, contracts, and state regulations where business is conducted.
- Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Windows environment, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Power Point, and Publisher.
- 7+ years’ experience in the insurance industry, or a related field.
- College Degree in a business-related field. (preferred)
