About the role
- Analyze, design, develop, test, document, and implement new and existing applications and solutions to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions to meet business objectives and operational requirements.
- Drive application/architecture design and development reviews as appropriate to ensure working within appropriate technology/standards.
- Assist in the change management process, including presentations and approvals in the change management process, and adherence to the defined change management guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to support business objectives and continual improvement of team dynamics.
- Promote the identification and resolution of application and technical issues enabling the optimization of uptime of application and operational support.
- Actively participate in continuous learning of technology, understanding its applicability to solve business objectives, and designing and implementing solutions where appropriate.
- Focus on delivery of high-quality solutions and improvements in customer experience and operational excellence with forethought for adaptability to future platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or other related area, or equivalent experience is required.
- Minimum 5 years of related experience is required.
- 7 years of information systems experience, including 4 years of experience directly developing enterprise-grade applications is preferred.
- Relevant technical certifications are preferred.
- Successful experience working in an Agile team environment, preferably Scrum, as an actively involved team member.
- Has obtained at least one Agile certification.
- Expert experience with database technologies and CRUD concepts.
- Expert in database design and tuning for solutions that require creative investigation and evaluation of alternative architectural solutions.
- Advanced experience with unit, integration and acceptance testing.
- Drives maximizing application test coverage.
- Expertise with unit testing packages and concepts, automated testing and TDD.
- Drives integration of TDD and automated testing into processes.
- Supports effective collaboration with team members and other teams.
- Masters multiple languages and databases with a passion to learn anything new.
