About the role

  • Develop and deliver the overall strategy for the Bank
  • Engage closely with government and industry stakeholders
  • Translate government policy priorities into action to support the growth of smaller businesses
  • Work closely with the Bank’s product and front-office teams to support delivery
  • Undertake analysis and identify opportunities to improve SME access to finance
  • Support the Board and Executive Committee in delivering the Bank’s corporate strategy
  • Lead work on priority projects with complex challenges
  • Undertake comprehensive analysis and research
  • Manage and lead projects through to completion
  • Deliver presentations to key stakeholders
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across the Bank

Requirements

  • Previous experience of working in a Strategy role
  • Proven ability to build effective working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Fluent in PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Understanding of how Government departments work is desirable
  • Experience in developing company or product strategy within a Financial Services context is an advantage
  • Interest in smaller businesses and the challenges they face when accessing finance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Confident in building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships
  • Expected to role model candour and integrity
