About the role
- Take ownership and focus on creating a seamless and delightful SW development experience for engineers
- Conduct market research and stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to developer productivity
- Translate product strategy into a tangible roadmap outlining key features, initiatives, and milestones
- Identify and prioritize areas for improvement and innovation impacting productivity, efficiency, and satisfaction of development teams
- Collaborate with development teams, project managers, and executive leadership to build and deliver products and communicate value
- Partner with other Product Managers to integrate products into Box end-to-end SW development user journeys and pipeline implementations
- Develop and implement strategies to engage internal developers and establish an active developer community
- Establish mechanisms for collecting feedback from developers and regularly communicate updates and changes
- Act as subject matter expert and advocate for internal developers in executive discussions
- Roll out and measure adoption of developer-centric processes, tools, or platforms to reduce bottlenecks and improve development workflow efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience in senior roles in Product Management, Community Management, Developer Relationships, Release Management or similar, with a focus on SW deployment and delivery tools, or developer-focused PaaS products
- Previous experience in engineering role in a SaaS company with strong understanding of developer needs, workflows, and challenges
- Strong technical background and understanding of software delivery processes, tools, and frameworks
- Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships and effectively engage with developers
- Passion for creating impactful products and driving developer productivity
- Empathy and ability to advocate for developers' interests and concerns
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with industry trends and best practices in developer engagement
- Analytical skills to assess and track metrics related to developer satisfaction and productivity
- Hands-on technical experience using SW delivery tools, infrastructure platforms, and developing cloud-native and microservice applications
- Experience in mentoring or supporting the professional growth of developers is a plus
- Expected to work from assigned office a minimum of 3 days per week
