About the role
- Develop, integrate and document structural requirements to establish the system design
- Guide product design and verify structural integrity using and developing analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle
- Develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance
- Coordinate with other engineering groups to establish the product’s environment
- Develop test plans and configurations, support test execution and analyze/report test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
- Define and document certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied
- Lead technical teams, drive innovation, and solve challenging problems for advanced aircraft and weapons development programs in Boeing Phantom Works
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science (Level 2)
- Level 2: 2+ years of work-related engineering experience with a Bachelor’s (24+ months)
- Level 3: 5+ years of work-related engineering experience with a Bachelor’s OR 3+ years with a Master’s OR equivalent work-related engineering experience with a PhD
- Level 4: 9+ years with a Bachelor’s OR 7+ years with a Masters OR 4+ years with a PhD
- Experience with Finite Element Modeling (FEM) tools (NASTRAN, PATRAN)
- Experience with aerospace stress analysis and/or structural analysis
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
- Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance required (U.S. Citizenship Required); a U.S. Security Clearance active in the past 24 months is considered active
- Export control: must meet definition of "U.S. Person" per 22 C.F.R. §120.15 (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)

- Ability to work 1st shift
- This position is expected to be 100% onsite at listed locations (Berkeley, MO or Saint Charles, MO)
