Deliver technical leadership ensuring effective project execution and fostering strong people leadership
Acquire talent, build the team, motivate, develop and manage employees and provide technical oversight to achieve technical and business outcomes
Provide technical leadership and project management guidance; lead implementation of technical approaches, processes and procedures
Supervise a team of engineers in end-to-end electro-mechanical product design, ensuring technical excellence, mentorship, and adherence to quality standards
Drive cross-functional collaboration with systems, electrical & electronics, software, reliability, manufacturing, supply chain and quality teams
Develop project or operational plans aligned with department objectives; assign authority and responsibilities and review plan execution
Monitor performance metrics, forecast resource needs, and make hiring decisions
Coach, counsel, mentor and provide developmental opportunities and feedback to employees
Enforce company rules and policies regarding ethical behavior, safety, security, use of company property, time charging
Partner and engage with internal and external stakeholders and supplier management teams; maintain relationships with internal customers, peers and partners
Create and maintain relationships with Global teams and work closely with stakeholders for planning, forecasting and reporting
Provide periodic updates to senior management via progress reports and project summaries
Foster an innovative work environment and identify opportunities for improvements in product, process, quality, and productivity
Support SRR (Systems Requirements Review), PDR (Preliminary Design Reviews) and CDR (Critical Design Reviews)
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with a minimum of 12 years of engineering experience
Hands on engineering expertise across product development phases such as design, prototyping, verification and validation testing of aerospace products
Excellent understanding of electromechanical packaging and mechanical subsystems, including selection of hydraulics, heaters, and mechanisms
Prior experience in structural design and thermal management
Familiarity with electromechanical product development cycles and engineering best practices specific to the aerospace industry
Past hands-on experience with any industry leading CAD , PLM, Structural, & Thermal and CFD Analysis tools
Familiar with DO-160/ MIL-STD Qualification testing, Safety and Airworthiness Standards per Regulatory requirements such as FAA
Strong leadership and project management skills
Experience providing oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
Strong aptitude for team building and people development to manage, develop and motivate employees
Ability to work with partners inside and outside Boeing and tolerate organizational complexity
Self-starter with a positive attitude, high ethics, and track record of working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment
Be fluent in written and spoken English and have high degree of proficiency with MS Office tools
