About the role

  • Lead the pricing strategy development for major bids and proposals, serving as the primary point of contact for all cost volume activities
  • Provide strategic guidance during RFP analysis, ensuring pricing approach aligns with technical solution and competitive intelligence
  • Oversee the development of detailed pricing models, ensuring compliance with RFP requirements and alignment with business objectives
  • Present pricing recommendations to executive leadership and guide the decision-making process during bid reviews
  • Direct the execution of Price-to-Win strategies and integrate competitive pricing intelligence into final cost submissions
  • Supervise and mentor pricing analysts or other team members involved in cost proposal development
  • Establish and enforce standards, templates, and best practices for pricing compliance and quality
  • Partner with Finance, Contracts, Program, and Capture teams to align pricing with risk profiles, profitability goals, and operational capabilities
  • Ensure pricing proposals align with corporate financial goals, FAR/DFARS requirements, and customer expectations
  • High-visibility role shaping the company’s competitive positioning

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Finance, Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • 12+ years' experience in US Government contractor pricing required, with at least 3 years in a pricing leadership or management capacity
  • Experience managing direct reports is highly preferred
  • A combination of equivalent education and work experience may be substituted for the above requirements
  • Knowledgeable in US Code & Federal Acquisition Regulations related to contract pricing, and DFARS Estimating System criteria
  • Proven experience managing pricing teams and leading high-value proposal efforts
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to present to senior leadership and influence business decisions
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Aptitude for problem-solving and solution implementation
  • Ability to build relationships and work cross-functionally with business partners
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work under short deadlines and multitask
  • Proactive, highly motivated, and excels in both technical skills and oral presentation
