About the role
- Lead the pricing strategy development for major bids and proposals, serving as the primary point of contact for all cost volume activities
- Provide strategic guidance during RFP analysis, ensuring pricing approach aligns with technical solution and competitive intelligence
- Oversee the development of detailed pricing models, ensuring compliance with RFP requirements and alignment with business objectives
- Present pricing recommendations to executive leadership and guide the decision-making process during bid reviews
- Direct the execution of Price-to-Win strategies and integrate competitive pricing intelligence into final cost submissions
- Supervise and mentor pricing analysts or other team members involved in cost proposal development
- Establish and enforce standards, templates, and best practices for pricing compliance and quality
- Partner with Finance, Contracts, Program, and Capture teams to align pricing with risk profiles, profitability goals, and operational capabilities
- Ensure pricing proposals align with corporate financial goals, FAR/DFARS requirements, and customer expectations
- High-visibility role shaping the company’s competitive positioning
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Finance, Management, Business Administration, or related field
- 12+ years' experience in US Government contractor pricing required, with at least 3 years in a pricing leadership or management capacity
- Experience managing direct reports is highly preferred
- A combination of equivalent education and work experience may be substituted for the above requirements
- Knowledgeable in US Code & Federal Acquisition Regulations related to contract pricing, and DFARS Estimating System criteria
- Proven experience managing pricing teams and leading high-value proposal efforts
- Strong executive presence with the ability to present to senior leadership and influence business decisions
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Aptitude for problem-solving and solution implementation
- Ability to build relationships and work cross-functionally with business partners
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to work under short deadlines and multitask
- Proactive, highly motivated, and excels in both technical skills and oral presentation
