About the role
- Establish and operate the Program RIO desk: design processes, workflows, templates, roles/responsibilities, and handoffs
- Implement and configure RIO tooling and dashboards; maintain tool governance for RIO use
- Own the RIO lifecycle: intake, prioritization, assignment, tracking, status updates, closure criteria, and archival
- Develop, establish, monitor and continuously improve RIO KPIs and related reporting; identify trends and recommend corrective actions
- Lead executive-level RIO meetings and briefings: prepare materials, present status, drive decision-making, and escalate items appropriately
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to develop mitigation/contingency/exploitation plans and drive accountable actions to closure
- Facilitate and own all RCCA activities on the program: lead root cause analysis sessions, define corrective/preventive actions, and verify implementation effectiveness
- Develop and deliver RIO training, onboarding materials, playbooks and role-specific guidance for program teams
- Maintain stakeholder communications and cadences with program leadership, workstream leads, suppliers and other partners
- Refine the RIO process based on lessons learned, performance against KPIs, and stakeholder feedback
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- 5+ years of program or project management experience with significant emphasis on risk/issue/opportunity (RIO) management for cross-functional programs
- Experience designing and implementing risk/issue/opportunity (RIO) management processes and establishing a centralized RIO function
- Experience driving risk/issue/opportunity (RIO) items to closure through stakeholder coordination and action tracking
- Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) processes and implementing corrective actions
- Experience in creating RIO metrics, status reporting and executive-level briefings
- Ability to travel 10-20% as required
- Project Management Institute – Resource Management Process (PMI-RMP), Project Management Professional (PMP), or equivalent (preferred)
- Experience in aerospace/defense programs or regulated manufacturing environments (preferred)
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)/Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM)/Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) program contexts and authoring tool ecosystems (preferred)
- Experience with RIO tools and dashboard/reporting tools (preferred)

- Security Clearance: ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance post-start required
