About the role
- Support Boeing Defense Services (BDS) Software Quality team in Layton, Utah
- Define and maintain large scale program software quality engineering processes, resources and infrastructure
- Lead process improvement activities
- Support development of organization policies, procedures, infrastructure and metrics
- Prepare and present information at formal review meetings
- Plan and develop proposals and cost estimates
- Review supplier proposals and make software quality source selection recommendations
- Lead review and approval of software life cycle documents and program products
- Plan and lead baseline internal or supplier audits of software engineering processes
- Participate in configuration management activities
- Review deviations and waivers to the software baseline
- Plan software quality test activities and ensure integrity of the test process
- Verify test results and work with regulatory agencies and other functions for software delivery activities
- Lead final reconciliation of complex software data products
- Develop program specific software quality requirements for flow down to suppliers
- Plan and verify supplier's software quality systems and programs
- Perform software acceptance and delivery activities
- Analyze data to identify trends in non-compliances and initiate corrective and preventive actions
- Identify non-conformances and issue corrective action
- Report non-conformance and corrective action data to management
- Work under minimal direction
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 2+ years of Experience with Software Development lifecycle (including Requirements Analysis, Design, Code, Integration & Test)
- 1+ years of experience with verification, validation, certification and qualification processes and procedures, including knowledge of governing regulations and compliance requirements
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required
