About the role
- Assists with definition of requirements for tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes used in the engineering design, manufacture and/or maintenance of Boeing products
- Develops material/engineering specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes
- Assists in evaluation of emerging technologies for potential application to business needs
- Assists with development and qualification of new tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes to meet requirements
- Performs routine tests and audits to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements
- Conducts routine analysis to determine performance or reasons for failures of tools, materials, parts or processes
- Assists in implementing corrective and preventive actions
- Develops computer and production systems to satisfy user requirements
- Uses project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements
- Incorporates environmental health and safety, LEAN and Quality principles into materials and processes, research, design and qualification, work procedures and labs and office areas
- Work 100% onsite at the listed Saint Charles, Missouri location
- Support daily production operations and engineering integrity for missiles and weapons programs in the Saint Charles organization
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
- Final U.S. Secret clearance Post-Start is required
- Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
- 3+ Experience with the development of manufacturing plans (preferred)
- 5+ years’ developing material specifications (preferred)
- 3+ Experience with designated safety critical parts (preferred)
- 5+ years’ experience with Parts, Materials and Processes engineering in the Aerospace industry (preferred)
- 2+ years’ welding experience (preferred)
- 5+ years’ experience working with castings (preferred)
- 3+ years’ experience in developing suppliers (preferred)
- ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required (preferred)
