About the role
- Integrates program, customer, product and in-service strategies into source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies.
- Negotiates pricing and contract terms and conditions.
- Prepares and executes negotiated contractual documents and binding agreements.
- Conducts risk, issues and opportunities management.
- Manages supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance.
- Initiates and executes supplier improvement activities and integrates results into contracting strategies.
- Position is expected to be 100% onsite and work on-site at listed location options.
- Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.
Requirements
- More than 3 years of experience working directly with suppliers or supplier management.
- More than 3 years of experience drafting, negotiating and executing complex contracts and subcontracts.
- More than 3 years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services.
- To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
- Typically, 6 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Preferred: More than 5 years of experience and/or training with the Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA).
- Preferred: More than 5 years of experience in Supplier Management/ Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer.
- Preferred: More than 5 years of experience working on U.S. Department of Defense contracts.
