Conduct proactive investigations to address money laundering and terrorist financing concerns aligned with National Priorities issued by the U.S. Department of the Treasury and FinCEN.
Analyze complex transactional data, perform in-depth research, and decision cases stemming from proactive investigations.
Draft Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and No SARs in a timely, error-free manner following FinCEN regulations and internal guidance and policies.
Make recommendations to escalate concerns to internal stakeholders and collaborate on significant investigative matters.
Manage a portfolio of case work in an organized manner and work efficiently within tight deadlines.
Apply understanding of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and the USA PATRIOT Act to the bank's products and services.
Effectively communicate and develop relationships with internal stakeholders across the organization.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
Graduate Degree in Law, Business, Intelligence Studies, or International Relations preferred.
7-10 years of total work experience preferred.
Experience working for a financial institution in an AML investigations function, particularly in the correspondent banking space, preferred.
ACAMS (Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists) certification and intelligence work in the private or public sector preferred.
Strong understanding of global financial crimes money flows.
Ability to draft timely, error-free SARs and No SARs that follow FinCEN regulations and internal guidance and policies.
Understanding and application of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and the USA PATRIOT Act to banking products and services.
