About the role

  • Facilitates growth through business development and management of key client relationships
  • Acts as an escalation point for complex client issues and resolves conflicts
  • Leads structuring of high-value, complex deals and credit approvals
  • Oversees credit approvals and drives pricing coordination as primary client advocate
  • Drives negotiations for high-value, complex transactions
  • Manages high-value client portfolios, driving cross-selling, retention, and profitability
  • Implements cross-selling initiatives and transitions opportunities into revenue-generating sales
  • Leads market coverage strategies to expand portfolios and identify opportunities
  • Represents bank at industry forums and conferences and leverages market insights
  • Engages senior leadership and cross-functional teams to align strategies and address client needs
  • Delivers reports to bank leadership on team performance, client satisfaction, market trends, and strategic initiatives
  • Provides strategic advisory on loan products, rates, terms, and collateral requirements
  • Builds and maintains long-term relationships with high-value strategic clients
  • Analyzes market trends, client industry developments, and competitive positioning to inform strategies
  • Works closely with internal teams to define products, solutions and strategies
  • Identifies share of wallet opportunities and leverages analysis tools to grow portfolio exceeding ROE thresholds
  • Ensures adherence to regulatory requirements, internal controls, and compliance policies
  • Fosters a culture aligned to BMO purpose, values and strategy and role models BMO values and behaviours
  • Attracts, retains, and develops top talent and improves team performance
  • Operates at group/enterprise-wide level and serves as specialist resource to senior leaders
  • Implements changes in response to shifting trends

Requirements

  • 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in Commercial Banking Equipment Finance
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the Florida Market
  • Experience with Direct Originators
  • Experience with end-to-end deals, initiation to close
  • Ability to manage existing client relations and further enhance relations
  • Ability to assist Bankers with end-to-end deals
  • Ability to analyze and further improve pricing and products
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting preferred
  • Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience and industry knowledge
  • Expert level of proficiency: Product Knowledge, Regulatory Compliance, Structuring Deals, Portfolio Management, Credit Risk Assessment, Customer Service, Stakeholder Management, Negotiation, Customer Relationship Building
