Engineering Manager

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 5 to 8 engineers through regular 1:1s, clear expectations, and a genuine investment in their development
• Own hiring. Partner with the CTO to attract and retain strong engineering talent
• Stay hands-on. Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical decision-making to support and unblock your team
• Guide the team through the ongoing migration from Go/TypeScript to the new Elixir-based platform, balancing delivery commitments with long-term technical progress
• Serve as the primary engineering point of contact for external partners, translating their needs into actionable technical work
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, eg. Product, Platform, to align priorities and remove blockers
• Own end-to-end delivery. From planning and scoping to shipping and monitoring, keeping delivery predictable without unnecessary overhead
• Communicate clearly and proactively about team progress, risks, and trade-offs directly to the CTO and across the organization
• Own our Go-To rotation, the Partner-Facing team's equivalent of an on-call rotation.

• Work cross-functionally with the BlueLabs project teams to design our polling solutions.
• Oversee the polling process from end-to-end, including programming survey questionnaires, pulling samples, tracking and monitoring surveys while in the field, and weighting the results.
• Help to prepare and deliver client deliverables such as toplines and crosstabs.
• Coordinate with team members on experiments, modeling, and other analytics surveys.
• Collaborate with our Data Science team on polling methodology and work to improve our operations and polling processes.
• Work with the Director of Polling to suggest and implement polling process improvements and keep a pulse on new innovations in the industry.
• Help oversee relevant vendor relationships; regularly interact with and evaluate our vendors.

Polling Manager

• Work cross-functionally with the BlueLabs project teams to design our polling solutions.
• Manage other members of the polling team, reviewing their work, and providing regular and ongoing feedback, coaching, mentorship, and learning and development opportunities.
• Oversee the polling process from end-to-end, including programming survey questionnaires, pulling samples, tracking and monitoring surveys while in the field, and weighting the results.
• Help to prepare and deliver client deliverables such as toplines and crosstabs.
• Determine final results in concert with the team and develop insights for clients in presentation materials.
• Coordinate with team members on experiments, modeling, and other analytics surveys.
• Collaborate with our Data Science team on polling methodology and to work on research questions to improve our operations and polling processes.
• Work with the Director of Polling to suggest and implement polling process improvements and keep a pulse on new innovations in the industry.
• Help oversee relevant vendor relationships; regularly interacting with and evaluating our vendors.
